Introductory post :)

Hello! Iam Athirah and I grew up in a small and a peaceful city called Kuching. It is so small, where everywhere you go, you are bound to stumble upon a familiar face. It is so small, that everyone is practically related to each other.

This blog is a part of an assignment for a class that iam in, CSCI 101 where iam required to create a blog to write about anything computer-related and iam guessing also to see how computer-literate iam :) To tell you the honest truth, i kind of like this assignment. Since I have this passion of writing things in an informal way, which is why I have always hated English 101 where we were forced to write everything in a structured way.

Okay back to the assignment.

How computers affected my daily life? Ooo trust me, a day without computers/internet connection? I would literally scratch my eyeballs out! Okay that is abit too much but yes, a day w/out being in the cyber world is bearable but 2 days? I'd start looking for my iPhone and 3g-ing my life away. I once maxed out on my 3g usage till I was charged RM1k++ for it, thanks to our unreliable streamyx connection at home, i was forced to tether my iPhone with my laptop and streamed an episode of Gossip Girl.I am addicted to facebook, wikipedia, watching tv series online, twitter, updating my itunes and owh lots more! I also loooooove photoshop-ing. I used to spend my after school hours, creating backgrounds and buttons for my myspace account. I was an html freak back then when myspace was still in hype. But now since I cant afford to coax my parents for an original photoshop software for my macbook, I have lost touch in photo editing.

I remember the first time(before repeating for it twice -.-) I stepped into the CSCI101 class, I was scared sh*tless (pardon my language) of being forced to take up programming. But thank god we dont. I expect to gain basic knowledge in computering and anything related to it! Well, of course to excel in this subject and to actually get atleast a C+ for it :p I need to improve on my attitude and attendance and I feel more encouraged when i got my first CGPA and didnt fail any subject for the first time after 3 semesters of ADP.

Well, enough of me putting my thoughts into words for today, stay tuned for my next blog post! :)
